Azalea Moving & Storage brings twenty years of experience to every move we make. As one of the leading business and residential moving organizations in South Carolina, Azalea provides moving, packing, storage, and relocation services for intrastate, interstate, and international moves. We handle office and industrial relocations, special commodity transportation, air freight service, household goods, storage, commercial warehousing and distribution, record storage, packing, and custom crating. Whether we are moving corporate offices, trade shows, art exhibits, or households, Azalea provides the highest level of customer service possible.

Founded in Charleston in 1982, Azalea Moving & Storage is run by Jay Cook, one of the company's founders and a third-generation mover. Azalea moved its headquarters to its current location in 1989 and became an agent for Allied Van lines, one of the premier carriers in the world.

Jay Cook
President & CEO
Jay brings 24 years of hands-on experience to his position as President & CEO of Azalea Moving & Storage. While in college, Jay got into the industry by checking, loading, and unloading cargo. After college, he became a long-haul owner/operator, traveling to every area of the country. He progressed to Warehouse Manager, in charge of a 40,000 square foot facility, where he was in charge of providing service for telephone, computer, and medical equipment clients. Jay has been with Azalea since 1982. During his tenure, he constructed a 15,000 square foot warehouse and, in 1990, became an agent for Allied Van Lines.
Despite being in charge of a successful enterprise, Jay participates in professional activities. He has served as past President of the Greater Charleston Movers Association, past President of the South Carolina Movers Conference, Board Member of the SC Trucking Association, and Board Member of the SC Tariff Bureau. He is also a Certified Moving Consultant. In addition, Jay is active in several community philanthropic organizations, including coaching youth baseball.
Jeff Weber
Operations Manager
With 17 years' moving experience, Jeff plans Azalea's daily work schedules for both the local and long-distance fleets. He hires all our drivers and moving assistants, and monitors all their operations. Jeff is in charge of our Quality Assurance Program, which includes all safety concerns and Department of Transportation issues. He has filled every position from packer/loader, to Warehouse Manager, to owner/operator in the long-haul division. He is a member of The Movers Association of Greater Charleston, the SC Movers Conference, and The Allied Driver Elite Program. We are very proud of Jeff for winning the Southeast Allied Claim-Free Award.
Karen Bunting
Sales Manager
Karen has been involved in the sales and operations aspects of the moving industry for the past 21 years. She has coordinated and supervised the activities of sales representatives involved in commercial, industrial, domestic, and international markets. Highly skilled in communications and presentation techniques, Karen has arranged exhibits and displays for major corporations, a talent that has been effective in generating new revenues of $500,000. In addition, she is experienced in planning and dispatching local moves, in coordinating and supervising office and industrial relocations, and with load planning for long-distance drivers in the electronics and trade show division. Acting as the liaison between Azalea's Operations and Sales Departments, Karen stays on top of the Sales & Marketing needs for our household, commercial, office, and industrial clients.
Susan Cook
Office Manager
As Office Manager for Azalea Moving, Susan makes use of all the skills she acquired in the Bachelor of Arts program at The College of Charleston, where she concentrated on Transportation & Logistics. She attends to all aspects of accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and financial reports. She supervises all administrative activities at Azalea Moving. Since 1995, Susan has served as the Executive Director of the SC Tariff Bureau. She makes the time to participate actively in her local PTA and in her church.
