PERSONAL MOVING ORGANIZER

1. Make decisions about exactly what gets moved and what is to be given away or sold.
2. Gather all of your belongings to be moved and have them consolidated at one location (or two if absolutely necessary).
3. Ensure that all items that cannot be moved, or that you've decided to give away, are gone.
4. Decide if storage will be necessary at your destination, and pick the location. Your Azalea Moving Consultant can assist with this.
5. Make a list of everyone who needs to know about your move: friends, professionals, creditors, subscriptions, etc.
6. Obtain a subscription to the local newspaper in your new town to familiarize yourself with local government, community, social news, and activities.
7. Obtain records from:

   • Lawyers
   • Veterinarians

9. Contact utility and related companies for service disconnect/connect at your old and new addresses. To ensure service throughout your move, remember to have utilities turned off at your current home the day after moving day and turned on at your new home the day before you move in.

12. Close your accounts in your local bank.
13. Open bank accounts in your new locale.
14. Service your vehicles.
15. Defrost your freezer and refrigerator.
